Setting the Record Straight: CS Datamation and the BSF Recruitment Case
At CS Datamation Research Services Pvt. Ltd., we take immense pride in our legacy of serving India’s premier government and defense institutions with integrity, precision, and transparency. Over the past two decades, we have
supported over 150 high-stakes recruitment and assessment projects across sectors including the Intelligence
Bureau, Para-Military Forces, and the Judicial Services.
However, recent online content continues to falsely associate our organization with what has been described in the media as the “BSF Recruitment Scam.” We believe it is important to set the record straight - for our stakeholders,
clients, and the general public.
What Actually Happened
In 2015–2016, our company was selected to provide technical support for the recruitment of Constables
(Tradesman) by the Border Security Force (BSF). Our role was strictly limited to scanning OMR answer sheets,
which was conducted within BSF premises at CGO Complex, Lodhi Road, New Delhi, under the direct supervision
of BSF officers.
We had no involvement in the evaluation, processing, or preparation of results, all of which were handled internally by BSF-appointed personnel.
The CBI Investigation and Raid
In early 2020, the CBI registered an FIR concerning alleged irregularities in the BSF recruitment process. Our name was included in the FIR, despite the absence of any specific wrongdoing or evidence against our team.
On January 18, 2020, without prior notice, the CBI conducted a four-hour search at our Gurugram office starting at 9:00 a.m. The agency deployed advanced forensic tools to scan our servers, systems, and infrastructure. After
thorough checking, the CBI did not find anything objectionable or incriminating, and no evidence was recovered
that linked our company to any irregularities.
High Court Admits Our Petition
Following these events, we filed a petition before the Hon’ble High Court of Delhi under Section 482 of the CrPC, seeking to quash the FIR on the grounds of lack of evidence or culpability.
In its order dated 13th August 2020, Justice Manoj Kumar Ohri:
- Admitted our petition
- Issued notices to both the CBI and BSF
- Acknowledged that no specific irregularities were committed by our organization
This legal step reaffirms our stance and validates our adherence to all required procedures and protocols.
The Impact of Misinformation
Despite these clear legal developments, many news portals and digital platforms continue to use misleading terms such as “BSF Datamation Scam”, creating a false impression of guilt and tarnishing our long-standing reputation.
These mischaracterizations not only distort the truth but also cause reputational and commercial harm, including disqualification from government tenders and partnerships.
Our Stand
We strongly urge all media houses, publishers, and content creators to:
- Use factually accurate and legally verified language when referencing our organization
- Reflect the current judicial proceedings and ongoing High Court intervention
- Acknowledge the absence of any findings of wrongdoing by CS Datamation
We remain fully compliant, transparent, and committed to upholding the highest standards in all our engagements.
